Being without your vehicle is stressful enough on its own. Gearhead’s client care program is designed to make service days as simple and low stress as possible. From roadside assistance and nationwide warranty coverage to flexible drop off options, shuttle service, and courtesy loaner vehicles, we try to fit the work around your life instead of the other way around.

Roadside Assistance

Help on the road in Canada and the U.S.

Through the NAPA AUTOPRO Roadside Assistance program, you can have backup in your pocket when something unexpected happens away from home. Out of fuel, need a boost, locked out of your vehicle, or facing a flat tire, there is a plan available to help.

  • Assistance available 24 hours a day in Canada and the United States

  • Typical coverage includes towing, battery boost, fuel delivery, lockout help, and flat tire service

  • Coverage lasts for six months from enrolment and provides extra peace of mind whenever you travel

The roadside assistance program is offered at an affordable cost and links directly to services arranged through NAPA. Ask us for current pricing and how to enrol at your next visit. We can also point you to the detailed program information so you know exactly what is included.

Nationwide Warranty

Peace of Mind Warranty

Most qualifying maintenance and repair work performed at Gearhead Automotive Services is backed by the NAPA AUTOPRO Peace of Mind Warranty. This limited warranty provides:

  • Coverage for 36 months or 60,000 kilometres on qualifying parts and labour

  • Written documentation that explains what is covered and for how long

  • Support that is honoured at thousands of authorized NAPA warranty centres across North America

If a covered repair fails within that period, you are not limited to a single location. You can get help from another participating NAPA AUTOPRO or NAPA warranty centre even when you are far from Red Deer.

10 / 400 Maintenance Warranty

For eligible vehicles, there is also a no charge 10 year / 400,000 kilometre limited engine and driveline warranty available through NAPA AUTOPRO. To qualify, your vehicle must meet age and mileage requirements and be regularly maintained at a participating NAPA AUTOPRO service centre in Canada.

This program is ideal for drivers who plan to keep their vehicle long term and want extra reassurance around major engine or transmission components. We can review eligibility and explain the details during your visit, and provide links to the full program documents for those who like to read the fine print.

Financing

Even with good maintenance, unexpected repairs can happen. Modern vehicles are complex and quality repairs can represent a significant investment. To help make larger jobs more manageable, Gearhead Automotive Services offers financing options through Flexiti and PayBright.

  • Flexiti

    Applications are completed in our shop. Flexiti offers options such as three months of no interest financing on approved credit, which can be helpful for larger repairs you would rather spread out over a short term.

  • PayBright

    Applications can be completed online, which makes it convenient to set up a plan from home or work before you pick up your vehicle.

24/7 secure drop off and pickup

We know it is not always easy to arrive and leave during regular business hours. To help, we offer secure 24 hour key drop and after hours key pickup.

After hours or early drop off

  1. Bring your vehicle to the shop.

  2. To the right of the main entrance you will find our secure key drop box.

  3. Fill out one of the envelopes provided above the box with your name, contact details, and vehicle information.

  4. Place your keys in the envelope, insert it into the drop box drawer, and close it.

The drop box is locked and can only be accessed by our staff. Once we receive your keys, we will contact you to discuss the requested services and obtain your authorization before work begins.

After hours pickup

When your vehicle is finished, we can arrange secure key pickup if you cannot return during business hours.

  1. We assign you a secure key locker located next to the drop box.

  2. You receive a three digit code for your locker.

  3. At pickup, enter the code from top to bottom, turn the knob to the left, and lift the door to retrieve your keys.

You get flexibility to drop off and pick up on your schedule while your keys stay secure the entire time.

Shuttle Service

Dropping your vehicle off for maintenance or repair should not leave you feeling stuck. Gearhead offers a complimentary shuttle service within Red Deer so you can get on with your day while we work on your vehicle.

You can use the shuttle to go:

  • Home

  • Work

  • A friend’s place

  • The mall

  • A nearby restaurant or errand

The shuttle runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Once your vehicle is ready, we can also pick you up and bring you back to the shop.

If you know you will need the shuttle, let us know when you book so we can plan for timing and make the process as smooth as possible.

Courtesy loaner vehicles

For some repairs, especially those that may keep your vehicle for most of the day or longer, a courtesy loaner can make life much easier. Gearhead has a limited number of courtesy loaner vehicles available for qualifying repairs.

A few important points:

  • Loaners are available by advance booking only and cannot be guaranteed for every visit

  • Not all repairs or service visits are eligible for a loaner vehicle

  • Basic requirements such as a valid driver’s licence and meeting insurance criteria apply

  • Fuel and usage details will be reviewed with you when the vehicle is signed out

If you think you may need a courtesy vehicle, please mention it when you call or book online. We will confirm availability for your date, check whether your repair is eligible, and review the guidelines before you arrive.
